Single row angular contact ball bearings

- May 25, 2020-

Single row angular contact ball bearings are self-retaining units consisting of solid inner and outer rings, as well as balls and nylon, steel, or brass cage components. The raceways of the inner ring and the outer ring are offset from each other in the axial direction of the bearing. There are open and sealed bearings. Their self-aligning ability is very small.

Characteristic

Single row angular contact ball bearings are non-separable bearings, including solid inner and outer rings, balls and cage components, the cage is made of nylon, stamped steel plate or brass. The raceways of the inner ring and the outer ring are offset from each other along the axial direction of the bearing. Bearings are divided into open and sealed designs. Their angle adjustment function is very limited.

Many sizes of angular contact ball bearings have improved raceway shapes and optimized surfaces. This makes the fatigue limit load of the bearing significantly improved. In the revised service life calculation, the life value is increased by more than 50%. Therefore, in specific applications, smaller bearings can be used if necessary.

Radial and axial load capacity

Single-row angular contact ball bearings can withstand unidirectional axial forces and large radial forces. It must be axially adjustable relative to another bearing installed adjacent to the mirror image. The axial load capacity depends on the contact angle. That is, the greater the contact angle, the greater the axial load that the bearing can withstand. Due to the 40 ° contact angle, angular contact ball bearings can withstand large axial loads.

Seal

The suffix 2RS indicates that the bearing has lip seals on both sides. RS contact seals are used to prevent the intrusion of dust, contaminants, and moisture.

lubricating

Sealed bearings are lubricated with high-quality grease, which can meet the lubrication requirements during the life cycle of the bearing. Unsealed bearings or bearings with only one side sealed have no pre-installed grease. They can be greased or oiled.
