The use of deep groove ball bearings

- May 25, 2020-

The raceways of the inner and outer rings of the deep groove ball bearing are all deep grooves of an arc shape, and the channel radius is slightly larger than the ball radius. It is mainly used to bear radial load and can also bear certain axial load. When the radial clearance of the bearing is increased, it has the function of angular contact ball bearings, can withstand larger axial loads, and is suitable for high-speed rotation. The bearing can still work normally when the housing hole and the shaft are inclined by 8 ′ ~ 16 ′, but it affects its service life. This type of bearing can be used to withstand pure axial loads when the rotation speed is high and it is not suitable to use thrust ball bearings.

Deep groove ball bearings generally use a two-piece composite steel stamping cage, but large-size or high-speed bearings use solid cages. This cage is guided by the ball like a stamping cage. The frame is usually guided by the inner or outer ring ribs.

Compared with other types of bearings of the same size, deep groove ball bearings have a small friction coefficient, low vibration and noise, high limit speed, and high accuracy. They are the preferred bearing types for users when selecting models. However, this type of bearing is not resistant to impact and is not suitable for withstanding heavy loads.

The deep groove ball bearing has a simple structure and is easy to use. It is the first type of bearing with the largest production volume and the widest application range. Widely used in many fields such as automobiles, home appliances, machine tools, motors, water pumps, agricultural machinery, textile machinery, and so on. Its output accounts for more than 70% of the total bearing output, and it is the most widely used and cheapest type of bearing in China.
